Join us for an afternoon at the prestigious All England Lawn Tennis Club; home, of course, to the Wimbledon Championships, the only Grand Slam tennis event still held on grass.
Our private 90-minute tour of the Grounds takes place will be led by a Blue Badge tour guide. We are honoured that Neil Stubley, Head of Courts and Horticulture, will join us for half an hour to talk to us about his role at the Club and both the famous grass courts and the theme of tennis in an English garden for part of the afternoon.
Following the tour, tea will be served in the Wingfield Café where we will enjoy fresh scones with jam and cream, strawberries and refreshing pots of either Indian or herbal teas.
After tea, we will be free to explore the state-of-the-art Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum with interactive exhibits, and the original Wimbledon Champions’ trophies. The interactive galleries exploring the Open Era will allow you to sit on the bench used by Roger Federer in the Gentlemen’s Dressing Room, flick through the pages of Arthur Ashe's diary, and witness the power of Martina Navratilova.
An exceptional afternoon out with a unique opportunity to learn more about the grounds and courts.
Kindly supported by the Wimbledon Foundation.
